Well as you may guess, I'm a Spriter and I would like it if you kept your critisisms to yourself. I happen to be proud of my comic and sprites.
so about me:
Im a GSR Major (Gaming, Simulation, and Robotics). im taking courses for video game design and am making my own games. one is simple, an 8-bit RPG. my next game (which i have the basics figured out) is a turn based sci-fi stratagy game.
watch these people now. seriously -a good friend of mine and a great spriter -fenominal with photoshop -one of the best artists i know. the only guy i know to have his art fill the entire popular frontpage. -a good artist with a halarious profile -the funniest comic writer i have ever seen. -a great comic writer who has actually had his work published -has a bunch of cute art
I liked it, it was entertaining to read for me, since I, like basically everyone else on the internet, like when other people do things about my character. It was short and to the point.
That being said, I think it may have been a bit short, judging by some of the other written entries that I haven't bothered to read yet because I'm still working D: There were some parts here and there that were a tiny bit off, like how Talc's guns were loaded, but only I know how really, and it doesn't really make a difference since I won't be showing any reloading in my animation, and if I lose, there's nothing changed about it all. I liked how you wound my guy's demise to a natural cause since it becomes a barrier to let my guy live.
In all honesty, I think that it could have longer, and a bit more storylined/detailed in some places...but...I'm spoiled by the likes of great authors and novels, amazing movies, and other waaaaay too amazing creators like Unknown Person over at Devient, who show inordinate amounts of talent and drive, and have more time allocated into what they do, and since this is my first time doing anything like this, I don't want to set myself up to fall short by comparing my opponents art, and in a sense, my own art and style against the top few.
At the pace I'm going and with the stuff I have to cut out, I'm not sure I can even show Earthshine's core spiked form >_> I never realized how complicated using Flash can get sometimes.
Earthshine's humanoid doll = 17 layers and my computer is starting to buckle under the strain even though I've barely used him xD Next time I do something like this I really have to make a concrete plan on illusions; playing puppet master doesn't seem like a good alternative anymore, at least, not for the next 3 years or something xD
